St Dominics Centre is located in the beautiful rural surrounds of the eastern outskirts of Feilding in the Manawatu.
Our historic homestead is set across 25 acres and includes 4 charming buildings: a grand old two-storey villa, Kauri Cottage, The Lodge and the Yaxley Centre. The villa has been carefully restored to combine old world charm and modern day comforts. All the facilities are geared to giving our residents an active, supportive and spacious environment in which to live their lives and reach their full potential.
St Dominics Centre has proudly provided supported residential recovery accommodation for people living with mental illness since 1991. The Yaxley Centre was built in 2008 to provide specific semi-secure supported residential accommodation for the elderly or those with higher needs due to disability or living with mental illness.
Our practices have always been based on a holistic, therapeutic, community approach to mental health support and recovery. We have provided planned respite services and enhanced packages of care services to MidCentral DHB for more than 10 years and also established a crisis respite service in 2014.
We take an individualised, tailored approach to caring for our clients and assisting them to recovery.
